A sovereign launch capability for Northern Australia

Located on Cape York Peninsula at 12°S latitude, the Atakani Space Centre offers unobstructed launch azimuths across a wide range of orbital inclinations from equatorial to sun-synchronous. The site's proximity to the equator reduces the delta-v required for low-inclination orbits, directly increasing payload mass to orbit.

SCA is developing a multi-pad launch complex designed to support a range of vehicle classes from small orbital launchers and suborbital vehicles through to medium-lift systems. The facility is being engineered to accommodate both liquid and solid propellant vehicles, with flexible infrastructure to support evolving customer requirements.
